Negativity At It's Finest
Topic: The Dynamics of Family
This quote not only foreshadows, but explains the relationship that Chris had with his father. Chris's father had cheated on his wise countless times and abused their children most of their lives, up until they left the house. Because of the way Chris was treated, as soon as he graduated college; he only told his sister that he would be leaving and going on a long journey to find himself and that he would be cutting off all relations with his family and friends. Chris in the end, was happy and did not become like his father, although did not live as long as his father, he was still at peace

An Unfortunate Event
"When McCandless turned up dead in Alaska and the perplexing circumstances
of his demise were reported in the news media, many people concluded that the
boy must have been mentally disturbed." (Krakauer 50) I honestly find the fact that people saying Christopher had some kind of mentally disturbed disease or was seriously messed up in the head really dumb. Just because someone needs to get away from everything, before they probably collapse under the pressure, just means they needed a break. It shows how simple minded the people of the world are, just to judge before even really looking into any background on the event or person they're judging. Unfortunately, there's no way to change anything because people will always judge others with no context in their mind, it's just how the world is. You always hear, "don't judge a book by it's cover." Well, people have been judging since our race has been here, so basically always. We need to move forward, and stop judging other's with no context.
